Overview
Frame Pair Camera is designed as a local-first camera app. Recordings stay on your device unless you choose to save or share them. The app does not include account systems, backend services, automatic cloud upload, or in-app ads.
Frame Pair Camera uses limited Firebase Analytics, Performance Monitoring, and Crashlytics diagnostics by default to understand app flow, detect performance issues, and diagnose crashes. You can turn this off in the app Settings. The website also uses limited Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring by default, with an opt-out control in the website footer.
Frame Pair Camera includes Meta App Events for Instagram and Facebook ad measurement. Meta ad measurement is disabled unless you allow tracking through Apple's App Tracking Transparency prompt. When allowed, the app may send basic app, paywall, trial, and subscription events to Meta to understand whether ads lead to installs and Premium subscriptions.
Frame Pair Camera does not require an account, does not upload media to the cloud, and creates local files first. Optional Premium purchases are handled by Apple through the App Store.
This Privacy Policy explains what the app does locally on your device, which permissions it requests, and what happens if you choose to contact support.
Information We Do Not Collect
During normal use, Frame Pair Camera does not collect:
- Names, email addresses, phone numbers, or account identifiers.
- Camera recordings, photos, videos, audio files, or edited clips.
- Precise location, contacts, browsing history, or social account data.
Firebase may receive limited app and website usage events, performance measurements, crash information, app instance identifiers, coarse region inferred by Firebase, browser/device/app/OS information, and diagnostics needed to operate these services. Frame Pair Camera does not send file names, file paths, local media URLs, support report body text, email contents, camera frames, audio levels, photos, videos, or arbitrary free-text error strings to Firebase.
If you allow tracking, Meta may receive app-event data related to installs, app opens, paywall views, subscribe taps, trial starts, and Premium subscription starts for advertising measurement and optimization. Frame Pair Camera does not send recordings, filenames, support diagnostics, email, contacts, location, or app account data to Meta.
Camera and Microphone
Frame Pair Camera requests camera permission to show previews and record video. It requests microphone permission to record audio with videos. Camera and microphone input is used for recording features inside the app and is not uploaded by Frame Pair Camera.
Photos Permission
Frame Pair Camera requests add-only Photos permission only when you choose to save finished videos to your Photos library. The app uses that permission to write your selected output files to Photos. It is not used to read, scan, or upload your existing photo library.
Local Recordings and Edited Files
Frame Pair Camera creates local video files on your device first. Save to Photos and Share actions happen only when you choose them. Free exports may include a Frame Pair watermark copy while original local recordings remain in the app sandbox. If you use the system share sheet, the selected destination app or service handles the shared file under its own terms and privacy practices.
Support Emails
If you choose Settings > Report Problem, Frame Pair Camera prepares an email draft that you can review, edit, cancel, or send. The draft may include non-sensitive diagnostics such as app version, build number, iOS or iPadOS version, device model identifier, device type, orientation, app state, permission statuses, camera status, selected camera mode, selected quality, capability notes, and current app warnings.
Frame Pair Camera does not send the report automatically and does not attach recordings, photos, videos, or log files. If you send the email, your mail app, email provider, and the support mailbox process the message according to their own practices. Support emails may be retained in the support mailbox as needed to respond and maintain support records.
The contact form on the support page can prefill an email with browser-visible details such as app name, app version, source page, page URL, local time, time zone, language, platform, user agent, viewport size, screen size, device pixel ratio, and touch capability. You can review, edit, cancel, or send the email before anything is delivered.
Third-Party Services
Frame Pair Camera uses Firebase Analytics, Performance Monitoring, and Crashlytics for limited diagnostics. The website uses Firebase Analytics and Performance Monitoring. These services are configured for diagnostics and product analytics, not ads personalization. You can opt out of app diagnostics in Settings and website analytics from the footer control.
Frame Pair Camera uses Meta App Events only for permission-based ad measurement. If tracking is allowed, Meta may process app-event and device information under Meta's own terms and privacy practices. You can decline the tracking prompt and keep using the app, or change tracking permission later in iOS Settings.
The app is distributed through the Apple App Store, and Apple may process App Store downloads, purchases, subscription status, crash reports, or other store-level information under Apple's own terms and privacy policies. Frame Pair Camera does not receive payment card details and does not run its own receipt server.
Children's Privacy
Frame Pair Camera is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the app does not use accounts, backend collection, or automatic media upload, it does not knowingly collect personal information from children during normal app use.
Security
Your recordings are stored locally on your device unless you choose to save or share them. Protecting access to your device, Photos library, mail account, and shared destinations remains important for keeping your media private.
Changes to This Policy
If Frame Pair Camera changes in a way that affects privacy, this policy will be updated. The updated policy will include a new "Last updated" date.
